Steve Penson Jr. aka “BADBOY”

Steve Penson Jr.- Born 1-24-1973  Parents- Patricia and Steve Penson Sr. Sister- Shelley Gordon.  Wife- Sherry Penson, Children- Jessica and Ronnie Lee Penson

Steve was a graduate of Chase High School and attended I.C.C. for his welding degree.  He has worked for the family business, McArthur’s Inc., since the age of 18 and is now the shop foreman.  

He ran his first demo at Cherokee Speedway, S.C. in 1991 and was defeated by Rambo Joe and Mr. Ed finishing 5th driving a 1975 Pontiac wagon.

 His second demo was at Harris Speedway, N.C. in 1991.  He came out of his heat and advanced to the main event driving the same 1975 Pontiac wagon and finished 4th.   Steve’s father also ran and the two together were a dominate pair.  His father, Steve Penson Sr., ran REDMAN on his demo cars.  Brent Scruggs joined not long afterwards and that was the formation of the Forest City Boys, better known as the F.C.B.

From there, the three placed those letters on every car they ran.  Many others took notice and created their own initials, but to this day, no other letters stand out or are recognized as much as F.C.B.  After nearly 20 years of crashin’, thrashin’, fire breathin’ bashin’, F.C.B. still remains a force to be reckoned with.
